Station 293 dispatched to assist Duquesne Annex Station 294 with a single car MVC. Upon arrival of 294 Captain it was reported that 2 people were heavily entrapped and that one patient was ejected and unresponsive. Upon arrival of 293 rescue crew s aassisted with the removal of the vehicles roof as well as patient packaging and extrication. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the WMPD as well as Allegheny County Police.

This call also marks the last call for 293 Rescue as it will be replaced with a new 2010 Sutphen Rescue/Pumper in the next few weeks. The trusty old 68 Mack CF600 served the department well over the years and ended its service with one final entrappment call..

The members of Station 203 will be playing in the 1st annual Jacqui Konop-Buckley Leukemia Adult Softball Tournament on Saturday June 26th at the Mifflin Social Club. Jacqui has been diagnosed and is undergoing treatment for Leukemia. Proceeds from this tournament will help support Jacqui with costs that are not coverered by insurance companies. Please come out and cheer for the members of 293 and help a good cause.
