Members of station 293 traveled to Dublin OH this week for final inspection of the NEW 293 Rescue. The new rig is being manufactured by Sutphen Corporation. The truck looks unbelievable and will be a very welcome addition to the 293 Fleet. Expected delivery will be before the end of July. Photo Courtesy of J. Polka |

Today marks the LAST day of service for 293 Squrt. The members removed all the equipment today to get ready for the delivery of the NEW 293 Rescue. The 1968 MACK CF600 served the residents of homeville proudly over the years. The truck went through many transformations over its life as it started out as a pumper, had the ladder added later, & then being completely refurbished by the prisoners at SCI Albion. The good news is the Squrt wont be getting set out to pasture just yet the membership has decided to donate the truck to Steel Center Vo-Tech to be used in its Protective Services Class. The truck will now benefit the many students who show an interest in public safety. Photo Courtesy of M.Ragan |
